DaShonte RileyDaShonte Riley (The Family)
DaShonte Riley is a junior from Birmingham, Michigan. The 6’11 center is regarded as one of the top big men in the class of 2009 and in the Top 15 overall. Riley plays for Country Day High School; as a junior he averaged 8 points while hauling down 10 shots and blocking 5 shots per game. Riley’s Country Day team was ranked #1 in the state of Michigan. His shot blocking and rebounding have drawn interest from several Big Ten School as well as Georgetown. The Family is a Detroit based team sponsored by Pistons All-Star Rip Hamilton.

Donnavan KirkDonnavan Kirk (The Family)
Donnavan Kirk is a 6’8 power forward from Detroit, Michigan. Kirk is rated in the Top 20 of his position and #56 overall for the class of 2009. He plays for Detroit Country Day High School alongside fellow GBOA East All Pre-Season teammate, DaShonte Riley. Kirk spent his sophomore year at Notre Dame Pontiac before transferring to Country Day as a junior. Teamed with Riley, Kirk helped lead the team to a 21-5 record while averaging 10 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks per game. Kirks athleticism has attracted attention from instate schools Michigan State and Michigan as well as USC and Miami (FL). Kirk joins his high school teammate Riley on The Family.

Jordan WalkerJordan Walker (Illinois Meanstreets)
Jordan Walker is a small forward from Chicago, Illinois. Walker began his high school career at Champaign Central in Champaign but transferred after his sophomore year to Chicago’s Hales Franciscan. After a successful junior season, the 6’6 forward is gaining attention from major college basketball programs as he enters his senior year. Walker is being recruited by Big 10 powerhouses Illinois and Indiana.

Derek ElstonDerek Elston (SYF Players)
Derek Elston is 6’8 a small forward from Tipton, Indiana. Elston is ranked in the Top 100 for the class of 2009 and a Top 20 rated small forward. As a sophomore at Tipton High School, he averaged 15 points while pulling down 12 rebounds; as a junior he led his Tipton squad to a 21-3 record. In 2007, Elston had a breakout summer while playing for the SYF Rising Stars. Elston’s offensive skill and physical play received interest from several of the top college programs in the country, including North Carolina, where his father Darren played college hoops. Elston will stay in state and play for the Indiana University Hoosiers after he graduates high school.

Crandall HeadCrandall Head (Illinois Warriors)
Crandall Head is a 6’3 shooting guard from Richton Park, Illinois. Head is the younger brother of former Illini star and current Houston Rocket guard, Luther Head. Although he is only a sophomore he is already making waves, averaging 17 points and 11 rebound per game for his Rich South High School team. Crandall has already committed to play at his older brother’s Alma matter, University of Illinois for Coach Bruce Weber.
